The client's brief for this major remodel was to turn a bland and uninspiring 1990s speculative office building into a bespoke corporate headquarters.

The entrance to the building was completely transformed through the large double-height extension clad in structural curtain wall glazing, white stucco and limestone. Wood panelling to the interior informal meeting spaces off the atrium provides warmth and richness.

A large skylight above the atrium space is connected to the building's environmental managment system and louvres open and close to provide natural ventilation as required to reduce carbon omissions.

The office areas at all floors have been re-fitted to Grade A standards, along with remodelling to all elevator lobbies, common areas and toilets.

The formerly open central courtyard now boasts a lightweight steel and ETFE canopy stretching across the opening to enclose the space and create a new central hub for meeting, working and relaxing year round.

Working with the practice's Associate Director I worked through DD and CD; being responsible for specification of materials and undertaking coordination with the consultants and contractor during the construction process.
